Other Websites
BookSense.com Independent book stores across the country have gathered together to
provide reading suggestions and information on books at their web site and in their bi-monthly newsletter,
BookSense 76, available at independent bookstores in your area. The reading suggestions come from
booksellers who are as passionate about books as you are. The web site provides a growing collection of
information on hot new titles by up-and-coming authors and great classics by authors you'd like to read again.
We encourage our clients to support their local indendent book stores, and BookSense provides a great way to do it!
Rachel's Compendium for On-line Book Discussions While there's just no substitute for good old face-to-face
contact, sometimes it's fun to enter the virtual world for a while. If you're interested in joining online book
discussions, this site lists lots of online book clubs (from women.com to the Utne Reader) and even more online
book discussion boards open to the public.
Fresh Air with Terry Gross The one-hour program
features Terry Gross' in-depth interviews with prominent cultural and entertainment figures, as well as distinguished
experts on current affairs and news. Though Fresh Air has been categorized as a "talk show," it hardly fits the
mold. Its 1994 Peabody Award citation credits Fresh Air with "probing questions, revelatory interviews and
unusual insights". And a variety of top publications count Gross among the country's leading interviewers.
The show gives interviews as much time as needed, and complements them with comments from well-known critics and
commentators. You can tune in to Fresh Air live on-line or search a vast database by topic or guest and listen
to archived programs.

stores across the country to provide resources for local reading communities. We encourage you to support
the local independent book store in your area, and we'd like you to know about some of our favorite book stores.
Please feel free to contact us if you're a book store who'd like more information about working with Good Books Lately,
or if you're a reader who would like to let us know about your favorite book store!
